The container terminal at the port of Burgas celebrateд its 25th anniversary with an evening party in an authentic working environment.
Among the guests of the event were the Mayor of Burgas – Mr. Dimitar Nikolov, the Regional Governor – Mr. Valcho Cholakov, Deputy Mayor of Budget and Finance –Mr. Krassimir Stoychev, the General Director of the State Enterprise “Port Infrastructure” – Mr. Angel Zabrutov, the Director of the Executive Agency “Maritime Administration” – Mr. Zhivko Petrov, the Director of the Port of Burgas EAD – Mr. Diyan Dimov, representatives of many transport and forwarding companies and others.
The history of the Container Terminal in Burgas dates back to the end of the 20th century. It was established in 1994, during the most difficult years of transition and the lack of investment in infrastructure, mechanization and automation, which unfortunately slows down its development. Years later, the Burgas-West Terminal was given a concession and this marked the beginning of a technological revolution in all port activities. To date, the Container Terminal is modern, up-to-date and competitive, meeting the highest standards.
