BMF Port Burgas EAD is the first port operator licensed under the new Law on Excise Duties and Tax Cash. He is also the only one who has fulfilled the new requirements even before the normative procedure changes in August 2017, whose main goal is to fight against fuel smuggling.
The new law demands all entities, that accept, load in, store or load out energy products from ports and customs warehousing shall use measuring tools allowing monitoring and control are performed in real time.
In order to meet the new requirements of the Law on Excise Duties and Tax Cash, BMF Port Burgas EAD has invested 12 mln. leva in the unloading equipment for Liquefied Gas Propane Butane and 3 mln. leva in the berth for discharging diesel. A new and fully automated system has been built for measuring the amount of fuel, which passes through the flow control points and transmit data to Customs Burgas in real time.
Measuring devices are planned and installed on the LPG facility even at the time of it’s construction in 2015. The delivery of diesel has always been followed in real time by the customs authorities
