BMF Port Burgas and Aurubis Bulgaria officially opened a new specialized complex for processing and storage sulphuric acid – a total of 10 million Euro investments.
Official guests of the opening event were the Mayor of Burgas – Mr. Dimitar Nikolov, Mr. Krassimir Stoychev – Deputy Mayor of Burgas, Mrs. Sevdalina Tumanova – Dept. Regional Governor of Burgas, representatives of RIEW,RHI, Customs Burgas, partners of the two companies from Turkey, Germany and all over Bulgaria , as well as the hosts – Mr. Georgy Domuschiev , Chairman of the Council of Directors of BMF Port Burgas EAD and Mr. Tim Kurth , CEO of Aurubis Bulgaria AD.
The complex is located on an area of nearly 27 decares and has a capacity to store 50,000 tons of cargo. The new optimized production includes the discharging of natural acid from railway cisterns, storage and export of this product via most modern working technologies at the highest ecological standards.
The complex creates 20 new jobs. The employees passed a special training for work with sulphuric acid, observing all national and international regulatory requirements for safety.
The complex was designed and built extremely quickly – in less than 1 year. It is expected that through it new production will be realized of over 1 million tons of cargo per year.
